Why Dharma: There is a religious community that Babette winds up in in this movie, but that has nothing to do with the 'dharma' of this movie. The spirituality behind art (as in aspects of sacrafice and love) is the 'dharma' of this movie, and even though the movie is primarily a comedy (a sublime comedy - Issac Dinesen's best literary work), this spiritual aspect of art shines through very strongly at the end.[1]
